SPECIAL EDITION, AN INDEPENDENT LABEL Blanco expands its offer and presents an exclusive collection that will only be available at selected outlets.
Madrid, 15 September 2010
In continuation of its commitment to the wow factor and renewing itself, the clothing brand has taken inspiration from London during the late-1960s to early 1970s for a line that has been created under its own label: Special Edition.
The cultural benchmarks that gave rise to the Swinging London phenomenon have been recreated in a catalogue that wishes to stand out from the crowd for its aesthetics and, above all, the design of the garments that compose the most personal line from Blanco.
Backcombed hair, vintage furniture and retro style. Top model Ali Stephens dons some sky-high heels to breathe life into a collection that soaks up the British trends and recovers an era from the past that still sets the fashion today.
Asymmetrical cuts and patterns mix with liberty flowers and Bohemian airs; rigid silhouettes mingle with the volume and flow of ultra-light fabrics.
Long dresses and skirts with a “new look” spread are presented alongside excessively tight and very short lycra. Shirts with lace appliqués and pearls as unique garments that star in total looks.
The thick woollen socks worn with suede sandals once again demonstrate that complements are the key.
A whole series of contrasts seeking a second peaceful revolution through shapes that are coming back into fashion.
