Sinks in three materials, own production facilities
One of the company’s particular features is its very broad sink range. Furthermore, BLANCO produces sinks in the three market-defining materials stainless steel, Silgranit and ceramic. High quality is its ultimate aim. BLANCO’s quality philosophy has the claim of offering the best material and production quality in every single market segment. Its high quality standards also include reliability in every area such as delivery and service, as well as marketing and technical customer support.
A Family-owned company with international focus
The specialist for solutions relating to water in the kitchen is an internationally aligned group of companies with a growing number of subsidiaries and numerous distribution partners in more than 100 countries. Blanco employs 1500 employees in total. The international share of sales is 66%, and the consolidated net turnover for the business year 2017 was € 379 million.
In addition to its head office in Oberderdingen, the company has sites in Sulzfeld (production of stainless steel sinks), Sinsheim (production of Silgranit sinks), Bruchsal (logistics centre), and production facilities in Toronto (Silgranit sinks) and Istanbul (ceramic sinks). BLANCO has subsidiaries in a number of foreign countries, including the USA, Canada, Western and Eastern Europe, and Russia.
Every year BLANCO sets new standards with its innovations. One example is the BLANCO AXial concept, which offers perfect opportunities for achieving particularly ergonomic sequences in the kitchen. With its claim to be the industry's leader in innovation, the company’s R&D department is also constantly working on developing new materials. A groundbreaking development with regard to surface hardness, appearance and haptic is the new Blanco Durinox for stainless steel kitchen worktops and bowls. The material of choice for coloured sinks is Silgranit. Eighty percent of this exceptionally easy-care, hard-wearing composite material consists of the hardest components of granite, and it is by far the most successful granite sink material worldwide. BLANCO first launched sinks made of composite materials in 1981 and since then has consistently carried on developing the material. The current range is notable for the very slightly smoother yet pleasantly silky-stony surface. A series of patents have secured the globally unique position of Silgranit.
Design competence: award-winning form and function
Well thought-out designs are a strategically important factor in the company’s success story. In recent years in particular, BLANCO’s sinks and mixer taps have received many renowned design awards. BLANCO SteelArt meets very special requirements for aesthetics and design. The high-end brand of BLANCO is a synonym for individual and exclusive stainless steel solutions in the kitchen, and opens up entirely new perspectives for planning. At its high-tech SteelArt manufactory in Sulzfeld, the company creates hand-made sinks and bowls in exceptional designs, made-to-measure worktops and panel tables with integrated sinks and hobs. High quality mixer taps and innovative accessories in the system design complete the exclusive programme.
High quality mixer taps
BLANCO has also a long track record of success with its kitchen mixer taps. The programme is constantly being developed further. It has been the market leader in Germany for years. The product portfolio is notable for its exceptional variety of materials and designs. With more than 600 different variants a precise match between the sink, kitchen ambience and the individual customer’s requirements is guaranteed. The company also demonstrates an awareness of its responsibility with regard to the safety and hygiene of the most important drinking water source at home. The water-bearing components in Blanco mixer taps are made exclusively of approved high-quality materials. This consistent approach gives BLANCO a leading position in the industry.
