BLANCO wins the distinguished Architectural Products 2013 Product Innovation Awards (PIAs) for their BLANCO MODEX™ kitchen sink workstation. The luxurious MODEX, with its unique raised cubic design, won in the Restrooms/Plumbing Category.
Part of the BLANCO SILGRANIT® II family, MODEX features a unique 3” profile that sits above the counter and offers a generous amount of task space thanks to the dual draining design and large integrated cutting board.
The PIA Awards highlight a diverse range of outstanding architectural-related products and recognize manufacturers who have demonstrated leadership across many different areas stemming from education and sustainability initiatives to standards developments.
The awards are judged by a group of 50 independent industry professionals including architects, interior designers, lighting designers and veteran industry writers.
“Building on the success of last year’s program, our third edition of the awards proves commercial building manufacturers are committed to, and are working arduously toward, delivering more sustainable products, as well as products that deliver better performance, life and affordability,” states Jim Crockett, Editorial Director, Architectural Products Magazine.
“We are so proud to have won the Product Innovation Awards for MODEX,” states Tim Maicher, Director of Marketing for BLANCO. “Already recognized internationally for its striking design, the award-winning MODEX combines high performance and architectural structure in perfect harmony.”
