BLANCO’s IKON® apron front sink and MERIDIAN™ faucet were recently featured in an absolutely beautiful and awe-inspiring laundry room makeover designed by Bre Bertolini of BePurposed. We think the before and after pictures speak for themselves, but we interviewed Bre below to find out exactly what went into the creation of her stunning new laundry room!
Q: What made you decide to make such a drastic change to your laundry room?
After we moved in with my father in law, we realized the majority of the house needed updating. We didn’t want to start with a big room so we decided the laundry room would be the perfect place to start. The washer and dryer were at least 15 years old, the sink wasn’t usable and the whole room was just dirty and dated. With a one year old daughter, I feel like I’m doing laundry every day and if I was going to be spending a lot of time in the laundry room, I wanted it to be pretty and functional too.

Q: What was the inspiration behind this gorgeous design?
I lot of my inspiration comes from Pinterest, Instagram and every day life. I found a couple of images on Pinterest that really spoke to me and inspired the theme for the rest of the space.
Q: What was the most challenging part of designing and renovating the space?
Making all of the decisions! I don’t know how designers can make decisions for a whole house in such short amounts of time. I struggled with this small room wondering if I was making the right choice for the design and all of the decor. Making a mood board definitely helps you see it all laid out and gives you a little peace of mind that you’re heading in the right direction.
Q: How did BLANCO help bring your design vision to life?
I’ve dreamt of having an apron front sink in our kitchen for a while now, but since that renovation is a ways away, I figured why not put one in the laundry room? Paired with the gorgeous faucet it makes our laundry room feel sophisticated and actually makes me enjoy washing things! The modern and sleek design of BLANCO’s products paired perfectly with my vision.
Q: What if your favorite part of your new laundry room?
That’s tough because I love the whole room! But I think the Geometric Wood Wall Feature is my favorite. It’s so unique and I made it entirely by myself and I just have such a sense of pride when I walk in and see it.
