Ready for week number two of our laundry reveals? Inspired by the launch of our BLANCO LIVEN™ laundry sink, we recently challenged four bloggers to think #BeyondTheKitchen and participate in a 30 day laundry room makeover complete with a LIVEN sink and ARTONA™ faucet! Each of our four bloggers completed the challenge by producing new envy-worthy laundry room designs. In this week’s reveal, see how Yuni Min of LoveYourAbode.com took her laundry room from drab to fab by creating what she calls her very own “mom cave!”

Q: What is your favorite part of your new laundry room?
My favorite part of the room would have to be just how light and bright the room feels. I can’t name one thing I love the most but all the details and changes combined make the room such a fun place to hang out. It makes doing laundry less of a chore. I feel happier just being in the room every time I go and it really has become my mom cave!

Q: Was it challenging to complete this remodel in only 30 days?
Yes, because we actually had to do it in less time with our traveling schedule. Also, we completed new DIY projects that we hadn’t tackled before like building a base for the sink, grouting tiles and working with glass subway tiling. We love to work with challenges as it pushes our DIY skills and creativity.
Q: What was the inspiration behind your design?
The inspiration behind my design was the black and white buffalo checkered wallpaper. I love how it gave the room a bold focal wall and I wanted to give it a country meets modern aesthetic. I love how everything else is a bit more modern and wanted those details to make a contrast against the wallpaper. The BLANCO sink can complement any type of style and space.
Q: What tips do you have for anyone thinking of completing a laundry room remodel?
I would say go a bit more bold than you normally would in any other space in the house because most likely, no one else will see it but you. Do something out of your comfort zone whether it be wallpaper, paint or other added details. Most likely, it’s the room where you will be spending a lot of time, so make it a place that inspires you and makes you happy. Try tackling some simple DIY projects to save money like adding new flooring, tiling the walls or adding shelves.
