Veronika Miller, CEO and Founder of MODENUS, recently transformed her small, 10×11 kitchen into a modern space where common rules don’t apply. Within four weeks, Veronika completed a full kitchen renovation featuring sleek granite counters, a BLANCO ATTIKA™ sink, MERIDIAN™ Semi Professional Faucet and beautiful open shelving to maximize every inch of her new space.
Veronika began her remodel facing the challenge of working with a compact kitchen. “We have a very small kitchen so we had to work with limited space by getting creative with our design,” states Veronika. “Even with a 10×11 space we still wanted to have full size appliances and a big sink while avoiding large floor to ceiling cabinets. Instead, we chose the ergonomic route with double drawers, open shelving and pull out corner cabinets allowing us to leave some walls cabinet free.”
Veronika’s new kitchen is all about the right balance between darks, lights, solids and patterns. Dark grey flooring, nearly black cabinetry, black granite counters and dark grey walls come together flawlessly creating a neutral canvas to anchor the heavily patterned backsplash that shines as the focal point of the kitchen.
