Cutting, chopping and heat: things can really hot up in your kitchen. And that’s precisely when your ceramic sink shows just what it can do. Its high-quality workmanship allows it to rise to any challenge, thanks to its hard and robust surface, which makes your sink scratch- and cut-resistant. What’s more, it is shock-resistant.
However, you shouldn’t take that as an invitation to treat it roughly. Exceptionally large and heavy objects should not be dropped onto its surface from a height. This would leave a mark on even this robust sink.

Whether white, black or gray - every ceramic sink is cleaned in the same way. However, dark metal abrasion from pots is more noticeable on a white sink than on a dark one. You can simply remove this with DeepClean Ceramic.
Our ceramic sinks are non-fade. This means that you can install your sink in a bright room or in front of a window. Direct sunlight doesn’t pose any problem, so the colour of your sink will stay just as it was when you got it, for years to come. By the same token, standard household use of your sink will not alter its colour.
If your sink sees a lot of use, light limescale deposits may form over time. When combined with foodstuffs like coffee or red wine, this can cause slight discolouration. But there’s no need to panic: you can address the problem in a matter of minutes. In this case, use vinegar concentrate or a professional biological cleaner such as our BLANCO Antikalk. Ceramic sinks are very durable. Stains do not enter, even dried-on stains from the coffee cup or beetroot can simply be wiped away with a damp cloth. The only thing you should watch out for is ceramic knives. If you drop it in the sink or it slips off the board into the sink while cutting, your sink will not escape without scratches. This is because a ceramic knife is so hard that it can damage your sink.
Provided you use standard household cleaners, whether based on an acid such as citric acid or an alkali, nothing will happen. All BLANCO ceramic sinks are resistant to acids and alkalis.

Because: It is extremely heat-resistant, so that hot temperatures cannot harm it. You don't have to worry about discoloration or fading. You can simply take sizzling pans and hot pots up to a maximum of 280 degrees from the stove and place them directly on the sink.

Ceramic is a mixture of clay and various minerals. Clay is soft and pliable. This raw material gives your sink the right shape. Other raw materials and minerals ensure that your sink dries properly. And retains its look. The whole thing is covered in a glaze made of minerals such as quartz or feldspar. This makes your Ceramic sink glossy and, above all, robust and resistant. The firing process is a science in itself. How hot, how long, how often? We are constantly asking ourselves these questions in our quest for your perfect Ceramic sink. And making improvements. After all, it is firing that gives ceramic its unique properties and sturdiness.
As it happens, your sink is larger at our factory than it is when you receive it. How come? Does it shrink? Yes, it contracts a little. It loses a great deal of water, and thus something of its form and capacity. We also conduct ongoing tests in this area, so that you are happy and satisfied with your sink.
