Four members of the BLANCO Design Council recently took part in the 2013 Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBIS) Design Studios QuEX project in New Orleans. Each Design Council member interpreted various spaces for a range of generational lifestyles, featuring BLANCO’s award-winning products in the inspiration and creative process. It was indeed an honor for the BLANCO and its Design Council members to be part of such a prestigious industry event.
Susan Serra (Boomer Kitchen), Andie Day (Boomer Bath), Cheryl Kees Clendenon (Gen X Bath) and Corey Klassen (Millennial Loft/Kitchen) contributed their own personal designs to create unique bath, kitchen, and loft living spaces for specific lifestyle targets.

Baby Boomer Kitchen
Serra integrated the popular BLANCO CULINA™ faucet and CRYSTALLINE™ sink for her stunning kitchen and said that “it was a perfect it” for the open floor plan design.

Gen X Bath
Clendenon created a sexy home spa concept called the “Me-Suite” equipped with the BLANCO CRYSTALLINE™ sink which was used in the dressing room of the master bath. “I gave it more of an edgy feel to it by calling it the Me-Suite instead of the Master Suite, which is so common and predictable.”

Millennium Urban Loft
Canada based kitchen and bath interior designer Corey Klassen, created a Millennium Urban Loft inspired with a bit of influences from the GenX and Millennials demographics. Tech friendly, wired for sound and designed for a tele-commuter like Klassen, the loft provides a “meditative quality that is both authentic, raw and real, “ states Klassen.

For his loft design, Klassen choose BLANCO’s SILGRANIT® II MODEX™ sink for its high performance, functionality and creative form.
“Modex was a perfect choice because it offers a multi-functional sink with a large capacity and additional preparation surface to suit the envisioned clients tasks. SILGRANIT proves to be a heavy contender in the avenue of sinks with it’s stain and heat resistance and a simple ‘wash-and-wear’ ability”

Boomer Bath
Day executed the Baby Boomer design using the BLANCO CRYSTALLINE™ sink because of its multifunctional and stunning look. Day points out that “the Crystalline sink seemingly vanishes into the counter top when not in use making it an ideal choice for the bath environment.”
