BLANCO is pleased to welcome Keith Morgan, founder of the custom furniture and cabinetry company Bespoke Minneapolis. With a very talented team of in-house designers and artisans, the Iowa-based firm is known for creating luxurious couture kitchens with hand crafted details.
Bespoke recently designed a kitchen for the Royal Crescent, a historic landmark in Bath, England designed by architect, John Wood the elder.
Morgan took time out from his busy schedule during the recent WestEdge Design Fair show in Santa Monica, CA to talk about the show and his eye-catching kitchen displays that featured BLANCO sinks and faucets.
Keith, What was your impression of the very first WestEdge Design Fair show?
I think the show composition was very good and well thought out. The mix of brands for the most part were all of a similar quality. This is impressive as many shows these days are starting to really mix the type of vendors they have on the show floor and in my opinion if a show is supposed to be a luxury event, it should only have luxury brands.
We generally spec Blanco products on all of our kitchens. The FLOW MicroEdge™ sink and ALTA™ faucet on display produced the perfect combination of modern lines with obvious craftsmanship, very similar to the Bespoke product.
The sink might not be recognized by some for the engineering tour de force that it is, but for those that do it is a gem. The design also offers a water buffer zone between itself and other materials that might not be so durable which in turn affords more options when specing countertops and backslashes. Wood countertops in water zones are a much safer option when used in conjunction with this sink.
