For the past 9 years, Modern Plumbing Supply in Berlin, CT has helped the children at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center by donating a percentage of sales and by collecting new teddy bears (or any new stuffed animal) to give to the kids. Over the years, they have collected and donated over 5,000 new teddy bears and have raised more than $25,000.
BLANCO is proud to support these fundraising efforts by donating teddy bears to Modern Supply for the children at the medical center. “This is a great cause and close to our hearts,” states Tim Maicher, director of marketing for BLANCO.
“With most donations there are overhead costs so you never know how much actually goes towards the cause, but with donating a teddy bear there are no overhead costs – 100% goes to that child,” states David F. Berger, president of Modern Plumbing Supply.
“We all have our share of adversity. Between our personal and business lives, it’s sometimes too easy to forget about how others are doing. You take one visit to this hospital dedicated solely for treating children, and suddenly you realize how fortunate you are. This collection we do every year helps us put everything in perspective.”
Please send new teddy bears (or any new stuffed animal) to Modern Plumbing Supply by August 24th (If you want to send a monetary donation, they will do the teddy bear shopping for you).
All bears collected along with the money raised will be donated to the hospital at their annual Radiothon on Labor Day weekend.
Together we can make a difference in someone else’s life, and in doing so will make a difference in ours.
