How to clean your SILGRANIT sink

For daily cleaning:

A Silgranit sink will maintain its long-lasting beauty best if cleaned daily. Follow the instructions to clean everyday traces and marks from your sink:

  • Wet and squeeze some dish soap onto the soft side of a sponge.
  • Wipe the Silgranit surface in small, circular motions.
  • Rinse with clean water and dry with a microfibre cloth.

For weekly cleaning:

For a deeper, weekly cleaning to extend the life of your BLANCO sink, use BLANCOCLEAN Daily+ to reduce limescale. Follow this process:

  • Pour BLANCOCLEAN Daily+ directly onto the sink and let sit for 1-2 minutes to take effect.
  • Wear a glove and wipe with a wet cloth or soft side of a sponge in the small, circular motions.
  • Rinse with clean water and dry with a microfibre cloth.

BLANCO recommends deep cleaning your Silgranit sink once or twice a year with a mild liquid/gel laundry detergent.

  • Close the sink drain and distribute the liquid/gel laundry detergent evenly onto the sink surface.
  • Fill the sink with hot water (heated up to 60°C / 140°F).
  • Leave it to work at least 2 hours or ideally overnight.
  • Drain the solution, rinse with clean water and dry with a microfibre cloth.

What not to use on SILGRANIT sinks

  • DO NOT use strong abrasive cleaners, metal scrub pads or steel wool. These will scratch and dull the surface of the sink.
  • DO NOT pour paint in your sink. The chemicals in acrylic paint will react with SILGRANIT sinks if allowed to sit over 24 hours and will produce permanent marks.

Stubborn stains can be removed by pouring a little warm vinegar or vinegar-based cleaner into the sink and allowing it to sit for a few minutes. Rinse with clean water and dry.

Depending on the severity of the food stain, use an equal-parts bleach water solution or dishwater tablet. Allow the solution to sit for an hour and then wipe clean and dry.
