BLANCO has impressed the jury of this year's Red Dot Product Design Awards with three well thought-out solutions for the kitchen water place. The BLANCOCULINA II kitchen mixer tap, the INTEOS* sink and the Universal Bag, Storage Caddy, Flat Drawer and Orga Shelf base cabinet organisation elements were awarded as Winner 2025. They embody the balanced combination of high design quality and practicability for everyday use that is deeply rooted in the BLANCO design philosophy. And this is not only evident in each individual product but also finds its perfect expression in the UNIT combination. For the award-winning BLANCO UNIT products cover all the central functional areas of the kitchen water place and can be combined to form a UNIT with a harmonised design down to the finest detail.
"These awards emphasize once again that the BLANCO design DNA is now consistently manifested in our products," says Marcel Moritz, Head of Design & Innovation at BLANCO. "We we aim to create the perfect balance of aesthetics and function and thus not only make everyday kitchen life at the water place more convenient but also create visible added value. The award-winning products show how consistently a holistically orientated design language can be implemented for the entire kitchen water place, enhancing in terms of form and function.
Red dot 2025 – Winner: BLANCOCULINA II
The BLANCOCULINA-S II is a successful relaunch of a multi-award-winning design classic and combines precise further development with functional and aesthetic perfection. Sophisticated details such as dark inlays on the tap body and operating lever as well as the minimalist magnetic shower holder give the second generation a striking, modern look. The BLANCOCULINA-S II Sensor is particularly impressive in terms of functionality: thanks to integrated sensor technology, it enables touch-free operation, for example for hands-free filling of pots. The Red Dot jury agreed: "With its intuitive sensor control, BLANCOCULINA-S II makes everyday life easier. With its elegant and precise design, the mixer tap enriches any kitchen".
With four high-quality finishes available – including the new Satin Dark Steel – the mixer tap fits perfectly into design-orientated kitchens and makes an elegant statement with its balanced shape. In addition, the compact BLANCOCULINA-S II Mini Sensor model with its low overall height enables clever solutions in kitchens with limited space. The CULINA II family is rounded off by further models*, such as the more delicate CULINA II Beverage, which can be used as a second tap at the sink, or the pull-out pot filler for wall mounting, which fills heavy pots with water directly at the hob.
Red dot 2025 – Winner: BLANCO INTEOS workstation
The name says it all: the workstation sink combines sophisticated design with maximum functionality and transforms the kitchen sink into an efficient and ergonomic workspace. The four available sizes alone speak for themselves: from 30 inches to an impressive 45 inches wide, INTEOS offers sufficient volume to easily clean even large pots and baking trays or to prepare culinary delights for two at the XXL bowl. Practical accessories such as the chopping board, colander and ovenproof accessories that can be hung in the bowl can be stacked above the bowl to save space or conveniently stored in the INTEOS organiser bag in the base cabinet – for a perfectly organised, tidy work surface. As the centrepiece of the kitchen, INTEOS simplifies everyday processes and offers its users maximum added value in an extra-large format. Thanks to standardised cut-outs for the two material versions in classical stainless steel and colourful Silgranit, each model blends seamlessly into the kitchen worktop – a plus when it comes to kitchen planning. It goes without saying that INTEOS can be seamlessly combined with other elements such as a water system with filter function.
A strong concept that also impressed the international Red Dot jury of around 40 experts: "The INTEOS sink improves user-friendliness and accessibility in the sink area and impresses with its clear, intuitive design."
Red dot 2025 – Winner: Base cabinet organisation with Bag, Caddy, Drawer and Shelf
Noticeably optimising the kitchen workflow – this can be achieved efficiently with the extensive range of BLANCO modules for the sink base cabinet. The advantages are manifold: the worktop remains tidy, as cleaning utensils and multifunctional accessories can be stored quickly and neatly in the sink base cabinet – and are ready to hand again in a second. BLANCO focuses on ergonomic handling in a well thought-out design. One of the modules awarded as Red Dot Winner is the Orga Shelf: a narrow shelf that can be integrated into the base cabinet, in which cleaning utensils such as brushes or dishwasher tabs are always quickly stowed away and ready to hand.
Another award-winning module is the pull-out Flat Drawer, which is ideal for storing CO2 and filter cartridges. The Storage Caddy for cleaning agents and the Organizer Bag for recyclables, for example, are equally space-saving and multifunctional in use, and are also located in the base cabinet. They can as well be pulled out and used as a mobile carrier bag or container. The design in dark grey and aluminium ensures a high-quality look.
All these aspects were particularly appreciated by the Red Dot jury: "With well thought-out functionality, a clear structure and a harmonious design, this organisation system creates order in the sink base cabinet."
*Note: The INTEOS sink and the two versions within the BLANCOCULINA-S II family – CULINA II Beverage and CULINA II Pot-Filler – are exclusively available in North America.
