TORONTO – Every January in Toronto, international legacy brand BLANCO sets the stage to connect with and inspire the Canadian design community with its latest kitchen innovations. This year at IDS, BLANCO will immerse the industry and consumers in a romantic tale with the kitchen sink through an experiential space, while underscoring the company's reputation and dedication to quality, service, design, and innovation.
Amidst the chaos that comes with scouring Canada’s largest design show for the latest products, ideas and installations, BLANCO will provide visitors with a mini outdoor oasis. Titled “As Well”, this oasis will be a sanctuary to pause, reflect and be heard. By partnering with Arc & Co Design Collective, BLANCO will bring to life an adaptation of a wishing well. It was once believed that any spoken wish into a well would be granted. Since water is a source of life, wells were thought to be sacred, and being the source of water in kitchens all over the world, this concept truly aligns with the essence of BLANCO. This empathic, voice-activated exhibit will entice its visitors to participate in BLANCO’s design process by making a wish; and in return, will respond with a new idea. This experiential exhibit reflects BLANCO’s ongoing commitment to designing human-centric solutions through the power of listening and will use these wishes to help design better products in the future.
“Emphatic design is the cornerstone of every BLANCO product. The concept space we have designed is the very essence of this core principle that BLANCO values. The space breaths, listens, reacts, and responds to its user, in much the same way BLANCO attends with its consumers. It is a space of empathic design as an experience.” says Robert Joel Cortez, Creative Director / Partner at Arc & Co. Design Collective. Enjoy a full brand experience between two BLANCO exhibits from Jan. 16th – 19th at The Interior Design Show; booths 1440 and 1448 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
